When it comes to weight loss, we tend to be our own biggest critics. No matter how far you’ve “fallen off the wagon” you have the power to choose again and begin anew, without being overly hard on yourself. Every moment is a new opportunity to make a new choice. You don’t have to wait until Monday morning to start yet another ‘diet’, you always have the power to make the choice right now to adopt a healthy, balanced, and sustaining lifestyle. One that is filled with self-compassion rather than self-criticism for not measuring up. A life filled with love for ourselves and others, with gratitude and appreciation, with healthy, vibrant living foods, with laughter and smiles and surprises. A lifestyle that fulfills you in ways that you may never had imagined possible – a lifestyle of abundance, not deprivation.
Set the intention to get outside this weekend, go for a walk or get your body moving in any way that feels good for you. Try a new fruit of vegetable this weekend. If you feel like you’ve “slipped up”, empower yourself with your ability to choose again in this moment to make a new choice. We don’t have to spiral out of control because we feel like we ate something that didn’t make us feel the like our awesome selves.
You are your own best friend on this journey, be there for yourself like you would your best friend. It feels so much better to be nice to ourselves in this way…
